Roll, Sleeve, Ring & Shaft Manufacturing

Reweld manufactures rolls, sleeves, rings and shafts for heavy-industry equipment. Mainly forged steel (34CrNiMo6, 42CrMo4, etc.) is used; where the application requires, parts are also produced by compound (bimetal) and centrifugal casting. Delivered complete with machining, heat treatment and non-destructive testing (NDT); a cracked shaft is removed from the sleeve and a newly made shaft is mounted.

Manufacturing and assembly

  1. Forged-steel blank supply (34CrNiMo6 · 42CrMo4 and grades)
  2. Compound (bimetal) and centrifugal casting where the application requires
  3. Machining (turning / milling)
  4. Heat treatment
  5. MPI / ultrasonic testing (NDT)
  6. Removal of the cracked shaft from the sleeve and mounting of the new shaft
