Roller Press

Roller press (HPGR) rolls grind clinker under high pressure and wear rapidly. Reweld reconditions them by hardfacing — both on-site at your plant and in our workshop — delivering several times the life of the original surface. We provide the same service for Horomill rolls and steel-mill rolls.

Applications

  • Roller press (HPGR) rolls
  • Horomill rolls
  • Steel continuous-casting rolls
  • Back-up and work rolls

On-site repair process

  1. Auxiliary drive and emergency-stop setup; removal of water-cooling fittings
  2. Grinding of the worn roll with a fixture; ovality and taper check
  3. Dye-penetrant surface crack test and measurement of required weld build-up
  4. Preheat and buffer layer (interpass temperature ~150 °C)
  5. Open-arc hardfacing
  6. Profile (chevron) welding to drawing dimensions
